We are just in the area temporarily and so far haven't been terribly impressed with the complex or the folks that live here. That being said, it is a RENTAL and there is a lot of tenant turnover here... if one has that big of a problem with the place, then they can go elsewhere when the lease is up!

Lots of older teenagers and twenty somethings in our section that make a lot of noise (namely the "kids" above us). Some parents not properly supervising their young kids. Police intervention in one section or another every 1-2 weeks. I always go to say hi to the cops and snoop around and its always a domestic situation with truant kids for some reason. No burglaries or assaults...EXCEPT...There was a SHOOTING of a pizza delivery guy a couple of months ago. There is a set of 3 dumpsters as well as an open air construction type dumping bin which overflow regularly. Old appliances left in the hallways for weeks while renovation done in apartments. Cans, discarded mail, cigarette butts...Trash everywhere. The cleanliness and condition of our apartment @ move in was not great and the quality of the appliances and cabinets is subpar... but it is a rental, we are not living here forever...nothing we can't deal with. The pool area is pretty, but the kiddie pool was a slime pit. Sometimes my husband and I refer to this place, only part jokingly, as a "project."

On to the things that have made our stay here okay... The apartment staff seems to work VERY hard with a HUGE and TOUGH crowd to manage. I regularly see late rent notices on my neighbors doors... this is a HUGE complex, so I imagine that each building is laden with late payers. Their maintenance guys and gal are very personable and they really do try, but they are understaffed. The leasing staff goes out of their way to be flexible and accomodating with our leasing needs. They wrote us a lease to the day we needed to leave and changed it a couple of times @ our request, regardless of their standard lease lengths... and they accomodate a large dog without hassles... which is hard to find in this area. Overall, we can't say enough kind things about the rental staff... we have been here since the summer and we haven't seen the turnover or incompetence that others have mentioned. Spaciness and overwhelmed @ times, but I think that they are entitled. Again, this is a HUGE place. All things considered, I am fairly comfortable with our choice here.... and if this weren't so far from where my husband works, I think we would return here if we came back to the area.... Our apartment faces a huge stand of trees which turned the most magnificant shades during the fall... and now that they've thinned out, we have a view of the golf course behind us! It is quite private and peaceful in this regard... and if we had "normal" upstairs neighbors, we don't think it would be THAT loud! The walls and floors are pretty thick... the upstairs gang is just a noisy lot.

We haven't been thrilled being here @ times, but we know it could be a lot, LOT worse somewhere else... it has met our needs in the short time we have been here and if you don't have 5 star expectations, it should meet your needs, too.
