Two good years

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
I lived in DMR for about two years with my wife and daughter. We recently moved because we bought a house in the area. That would tell you that we like the area where the apartment complex is located. We always felt safe, rarely heard or saw our neighbors, and enjoy walking at night for groceries, pizza, sushi, ice cream, burgers, subs, or rent a movie. Also liked walking to the Golf & Marina Park on weekends for a short hike or canoeing. We were also very pleased with the elementary school our daughter attended (still does).
I am surprised to see so many negative comments about these apartments. We had an excellent experience during our time renting there. We had a couple of requests for maintenance that were taken care promptly, solving the issue while we were out working. The staff at the leasing office were always respectful and professional. One thing we did not like was the fact that DMR does not provide a way for the residents to do their reciclying, so everything goes to trash, or if you are like us, you'll take your reciclying to one of the places provided by the county (very inconvenient).
Another issue is people's dogs... and the poop they generate and leave behind. More than once we stepped on one of those undelightful man's-best-friend's creations.
I think these apartments and the ones in Springwoods are the best options in Lake Ridge.
