Thanks, But No Thanks

I have just moved to Northern VA to work at a military installation here and am looking for an apartment. I happened upon Fox Run two days ago and went inside to see what they had to offer. First of all, upon closer inspection it really wasn't that aesthetically pleasing. Second, the woman at the desk who greeted me was quite rude; not to me, mind you, and not in an outwardly apparent way, but to someone else I was there with.
A young man walked in talking on his cell phone and she very sharply asked him, "Can you take that outside please'" The young man very politely apologized and did as she asked and when he left she made a nasty comment about not "wanting to hear all his problems". She was not aware that the young man was my coworker and had been kind enough to drive me around the area to find somewhere to live. If someone would be that rude and ignorant in the presence of a potential tenant, imagine what it would be like to deal with them on a daily basis and live there. I chose not to. For the price she was asking, thanks, but no thanks. Also, there was a minimum income requirement of about $40,000, but from what I saw I couldn't believe it. It looked quite run down. I don't want to discourage anyone from living in Fox Run if you believe it fits your life, but for me, I had to say "no".
