I have lived here for 3 years. I wanted to move last year but, since I'm not originally from VA, wasn't sure where. So I decided to just stay. Big mistake! The first year or so, I loved everything about this place. Now, I hate coming home.

What the other reviewers have said is true. ALL of the maintenance staff left within a month (some, without even giving notice) as well as the girl that initially showed me my apartment. They have continuously raised the rent, without any noticible improvements. Promises of free carpet cleaning with early lease renewal are untrue. After YOU contact THEM, they give you last minute notice of when it has been scheduled. If you call for maintenance (or anything else), be prepared to make several calls as there is NO ONE in the office most of the time.

Also, there was so much hype about planned community events when I moved in here. I have seen exactly one such event in my three years here.

As far as I am concerned, the parking lots are too dark. I do not feel safe. The stairwells used to be cleaned on a regular basis. Now you can find anything from garbage to someone's leftover Christmas tree, unwanted mail, cigarette butts, etc. And if you are really lucky, you will get to experience the dog feces all around the premises which no one seems to notice any more.

When something breaks in your apartment (and believe me, it will), "use spit and glue to fix it" is their motto. The appliance can be over 10 years old, THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT unless it is absolutely not functioning whatsoever.

I'm trying hard to find something good to say about this place. It is a good location since it is nestled in a residential neighborhood. If you are in a 3rd floor apt., the noise level is not too bad, although believe it or not, my fat neighbors downstairs actually "shake" my livingroom floor when they walk. I have heard my next door neighbor pee on more than one occasion.

I cannot wait to get out of here next month.
