Crime and Smells Like Crap

We moved in at the end of July and tonight and every night we have to enter a hallway that smells like puke, smoke and basically crap to get to our apartment. It's sad when you hold your breath while you get your mail and walk to your apt. But that's not the worst thing, we have also had our car window broken. Nothing was stolen which to me even makes it worse because this was a done just to do it. It's just so sad that meaningless crimes like these happen. I suppose this could happen anywhere but our neighbors tell us this is a regular occurrence. But if you move in you will be able to park in a newly "paved" parking space but you won't be able to see it at night because there is no lighting in the parking areas. I think Mgmt needs to reassess where they allocate their funds.

I just moved out of there after being there for 4 1/2 months. All that you said and more is true!We actually had drug deals going on in front of our apartment. When we would complain, we were asked if we paid our rent yet.Oh, the newly paved parkinglot? look closer, they just covered the old pavement with sealer.

I agree with you completely. Everything here is a joke. The office staff put a fake smile on when you walk in and feed you lies that they think you want to hear. When my A/C broke, the office staff told me they need to order new ones. Three days later, (with heat advisories in effect), the maintinence man said they had 11 in stock!!! Why was I lied to? I'm out of there on Nov. 1st. Can't wait. Take a look at Wyndham Pointe in Dumfries. Brand new!

I wonder if you are the person who got my apartment. My girlfriend and I were going to move in the end of July, but they gave our apartment away and told us the day before move in. Must have been fate.

I don't know where yall park where there's "no light" in the parking lot. I'm out every night walking my dog all across the property and all the parking areas are lit. Is there a secret parking area I'm missing? As for the drugs - I'm sorry, but legally there is little the leasing office can do other than take the complaints and work with the local police department. Against popular belief, the police can't just enter someone's house randomly on the suspicion that there might be drugs. They have been working on it, though, and have had more of a police presence. They recently arrested a bunch of people who were dealing out of their car. That's when management can do something and start to evict these people. They can't arrest people without cause, and they can't evict them unless they have hard evidence that they're dealing. The "paving" didn't improve much, though. I agree with that. |
