We have lived in these apts for 3 years, and will be moving this Aug due to PCS orders. We chose to live in York County because they have excellent public schools. We tried several times to find other places to live but there are few 3 bdrm options in York County, and we could not afford to buy a house. We had problems with repairs being made in a timely manner until we wrote a letter stating that if repairs were not made within 24 hours we would contact BBB and DA. Ever since repairs have been completed without delay, but when they do make repairs they will leave a big mess for you to clean up. We live on the ground floor and whenever our upstairs neighbors flush the toilet we hear it running down the pipes in the master bedroom. Then when we first moved in we had a temp tag and were waiting on our title/regis to get a parking decal. They gave us a temp parking tag but did not tell us that we had to come to the office and get a new tag every day, so my husbands car was towed and we had to pay $90. There is a terrible mold problem. You have to frequently wipe all of the windows down with bleach. The first time this happened it was so bad that I called the mgmt and told them it was all over the walls. They told me to just wipe with bleach and I told them I had already done that, and it would not all come off. They finally sent someone after 2 days to Kilz the walls after I kept calling and complaining. The only bug problem we've had is with silverfish everywhere. The rent is due on the 1st without ANY grace period. If you are late they will charge you $500. Most places give you 2-3 days to get your rent in. We'll see what happens with the charges when we move out. No problems with neighbors or noise level. The area is a great place to live though, highly recommend York County Schools.
