I am a quiet resident, but i expect noise in apartments. You can hear everything in the apartments above you (alarm clocks, showers, walking, etc). That doesn't bother me so much. I was very excited to move in to these apartments because they have a nice large layout. I was scepticle for the high rent prices, but satisfied with the size. On my first day in the apartment was my first complaint. This is claimed as a luxury apartment, but the carpet had looked like there had been a party of 50 teenagers all over it. Stains everywhere. It looked real nasty and trashy. So the management came over right away and had it cleaned. I was satisfied, even though alot of the stains still existed. Then came the real problem. My wife and I started noticing alot of bugs. We are very clean people. Everytime it rains, we get slugs that crawl all over the walls in our guest bedroom. Yes slugs!! We get on average probably 4-7 large cockroaches a week in out apartment. Not to mention the large amount of various spiders. We have complained several times. We keep getting put on a waiting list for pest control. When they come, nothing changes. I'm not even sure if they even spray. If it is a warm night, we can easily spot 30-50 roaches within a 20 foot area outside the apartment door. Sometimes there are so many that we can't help but to step on some when we go to our car. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anybody. It does not deserve the title "luxury apartments." For what you are getting, rent should be half that is is. BEWARE OF ROACHES. I can't wait for my lease to expire. BTW, watch out for towing. I just bought a brand new car, got it's plates at night, and the next morning it was towed for $120. You can't get a parking permit until you get plates. They were already closed when I got my plates and I was going to register it with the complex in the morning. Again, BEWARE.

yes, there are a lot of them, but they are not cockroaches, they are waterbugs... to be expected when you live in a wooded area and near a lake. There is a huge difference between waterbugs and nasty cockroaches.

leave it up to the manager's to leave a response like that. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WATERBUG AND A COCKROACH, the american cockroach is often referred to by the nickname "waterbug" as proven by this link http://www.roachcontrol.com/american.htm THEY ARE ROACHES, soon i will be uploading pictures as evidence. anyways, regardless of what you think they are, even in a wooded area near a lake, they shouldn't be in massive numbers INSIDE the apartments. i mean, i even had one inside the digital clock of the stove. So please save your ignorant response for some other sucker. I stand by my previous entry of ROACHES SLUG AND SPIDERS BEWARE!! or would you rather POOR MANAGEMENT, DIRTY CARPETS, THIN WALLS, OVERPRICED NOT DESERVING OF THE WORDS LUXURY APARTMENTS be the new title

I am a current resident of Belmont and I have no problems with the place. I have never had a problem with the management, my carpet is very dirty, but that is the result of my roommates who lived there before I moved in with them, I have never once heard my neighbors, and the only bugs that I have seen are spiders who hang out outside the apartment, its not hard to knock their webs down with a broom or a stick. Not sure why this person has such a problem with it, my guess is its personal.
From: Anonymous Date: 12/08/2007
Yeah, obviously personal. I live in 208 and I've NEVER seen any type of bug in the house. C'mon, slugs on the wall? Do you really make a habit out of taking apart your digital clock to see what's inside??? If I would have know it was storytime, I would have got my blanky and curled up on the couch!!
From: Anonymous Date: 12/19/2007
Take apart a digital clock?! Why would i need to take it apart when i could clearly see the roach over the numbers while the STOVE CLOCK is intact. Get a life. I realize everybody is not going to have a bad situation in their apartment. We all realize that. But there are some people that do have bad situations. Who are you to tell me I cannot relay my bad situations on an opinion board? If they were good I would say so. Maybe you should curl up with your blanky while management tells you stories to help calm you down from all your butthurt that you have when you read people telling the truth on an opinion board. Firstly, mind you own business if you don't know what you are talking about. You have never been in my apartment, you have no clue. And second, make your own review about how great you think this place is and stop trying to waterdown my truthful experience. I have earned my right to my opinions fighting for it in Iraq for nearly 2 years. Just so ignorant (uninformed) people like yourself can attempt to contradict it. I have never had a bad experience at any other apartment complex. This is not personal, just my truthful experience. None of this is blown up for dramatic effect. This place does have some good too. It has plenty of parking. The apartments are very spacious and has nice ammenities. The appliances are modern and very nice. But my apartment (maybe not yours) has a bug problem with roaches (waterbug is just a nickname for the american roach) slugs, and spiders. Not everyone will have the same experience but I promise I am not the only one. My neighbors do too. If you want to know really know the truth, come interview first floor residents between 500 and 503 because i'm not the only one. Until I get a knock on my door, keep your uninformed opinion to yourself, or make your own review. And if this is a character thing, what have you done for your country?
