Horrible place to live

We lived here for close to 4 years. Our car got towed once as management forgot to give us sticker. Each time upstairs neighbors flushed toilet we could hear very loud noise and woke us up. Maintenance crew is very slow and takes several calls for them to come. Several gangsters from car wash will knock your door asking for money. Now keep in mind we have been living in apartments for 15 years and never has any landlord charg us for any damage as we know how to protect somebody else s property and we always clean the apartment better than it was handed to us. Our kids stained the carpet a little bit which did not come out even after calling cleaning folks every year who stated these are very poor quality and cheap carpets. 4 years of walking on carpet made the carpet very ugly due to poor quality of carpet yet administration still wanted to charge us for stains even though they would have to change the carpet any way due to wear and tear. We went to court and lost it and end up paying $1000 for carpet as Judge knew the attorney and did not care what Virginia Tenant Act says about tenants right. So if you have kids and carpet gets stained regardless of how tiny than be ready to buy them a new carpet regardless of us living there for 4 years. Funny same day we went to court there were 7 other parties hurt by this landlord. After we lost Judge and the attorney for landlord were acting like they were lovers and how the older judge was missing young attorney's visit to his home.
Two of our neighbors told us same stories how this landlord will come up with bogus charges as they also got hurt. Judge is buddy buddy with developer so it s always a win win situation for landlord. Plenty of nicer landlords in the vicinity so stay away from this landlord.

I find your situation bogus. I have lived her for a month and haven't had a problem yet. My husband has been here for a year and a half. You shouldn't let you kids stain or mess up the carpet. You stain it you replace it easy as that. Look into a carpet cleaner next time. We have a steam cleaner and it takes every stain out. Even red wine that my drunken husband spilled on new years this past year.

mY husband and I paid a deposit of $870 dollars, being we were first time renters. We moved out of there 6 months ago, and my and got EVERY SINGLE PENNY of it back! The carpet had its normal wear and tear already shown, and the carpet cleaning people didn't even do that great of a job , that I was afarid I would get charged...but we DID NOT. I am sorry for your unfortunate experience moving out of there.
