I was pretty satisfied with the condition of the apartment at first, a small one bedroom in the basement. After moving in, I heard from other neighbors that the apartment has flooded a couple of years previous due to a frozen water main (no heat was provided by the landlord). We started experiencing some plumbing problems which got pretty bad. The toilet wouldn?t flush properly, sewer gas was coming into the apartment and raw sewage was backing up into the tub, it took the landlord a couple of days to send someone to fix this which obviously made life a little unpleasant! This spring we had more problems with the toilet flushing and attributed it to spring thaw and the fact that we were in the basement and once again called management for assistance. Not only did it take them several days to fix the problem but shortly thereafter I received a letter stating that I would be responsible for any further calls to the rooter man because of cloggs in the grease trap (which was the same problem the year before according to them). I was quite taken back considering that 1) I do not cook with grease except for frying bacon once in a while, nor do I throw that down the sink, 2) I am in the basement and obviously anything the upstairs apartments are throwing down the sink is collecting at the bottow of the pipes as well. There is also a severe problem with noise in the complex. After several calls asking management to take care of this issue, I received a call at work from the manager/owner. He was rude and refused to let me speak more than a sentance at a time after which he insulted me and told me if I couldn?t deal with the constant noise I could move out myself so I am! DON?T MOVE IN HERE!!!!
