Wonderful spaces and a great staff. Electric heat needs some tweakling to not be astonomical, but it is the only utlilty you pay. Noise is a problem, but the staff is very responsive and if the problem continues, it is "elimnated." I lived in a number of neighborhoods in Burlington in the last 12 years and this is a very sophisticated place but far more dense than much of Burlington, which brings concommitant urban issues. Parking is fine, really, and any group of people living in Burlington who each have cars will find the same problems with winter parking any where else, but you might have to plow your own driveway and I guarantee that the entrance to your parkling will not have radiant heat melting away the snow and ice as the Wollen Mill does.
The proportion by apartment of students is about a third of the apartments are rented to students, according to the rental office. Another one-third are IBM/General Dynamics/grad students and the last a highly diverse group, some of us are newly single, some retired, some into architecturally cool living space with amazing light. I have noticed though, that because each "student" apartment seems to have 3 tenants (as opposed to the other 2/3 with one or two adults per apartment) it feels as though the place is crawling with students, especially on Thursday and Friday nights. I have call the in-house staff and the problem eventually goes away.
