When we moved to the area we were told this was the best place around it sure seeemed that way. But, the noise, outrageous eelctric bills, old windows, old appliances and overcrowded fitness center (it's open to the public) and lack of parking is too much to tolerate for the the rent they get. Managment is nice enough but they are never there. I really think the office is closed more that it's open. This place has also become a college dorm filled with UVM students.

We are moving to the new place up the street, Keen's Crossing. They have everything except the pool plus underground parking and heat included. Central a/c and a private gym is nice too.

Understand, The Woolen Mill does not control what temperature a resident chooses to keep the heat. Our experience shows the average winter heating bill for a onebedroom unit at The Woolen Mill ranges between $95-$125. In the warmer months it is more like $50-$60. The heat in the two bedroom units range in the winter from $150-$250. Fortunately, The Woolen Mill offers free parking. Other area apartments charge approx. $86 per parking spot. The parking costs counter the electric costs. Should higher bills be experienced, it is worth a call to management and perhaps there are steps that can be taken to lower the bill. The Woolen Mill Health Club is free to residents of the building and is a full service health club open to the public for a monthly fee. Free parking is offered to residents of the building. Adequate spaces are available in our two open parking lots.
