Pros and Cons - But overall, pretty good.

Now I don't want to let anyone down, cause I know it's a pain in the butt to look up an apartment complex and say, "Hey I found one that looks pretty good!" Then you go to apartmentratings.com and see that everyone hates it. Everyone has their own opinion. Let the pros vs. cons make your deciding factor. These are facts not opinions.

Pros -
1) Animals

2) Has a beautiful river that is in walking distance, a really nice jogging trail just a little ways past the power lines.

3) They are putting BRAND NEW copper piping in every unit right now (Which is also a con for current renters/owners)

4)Gated Community (See con side below)

5)Has a nice cabana (See con side below)

6)Maintenance is always cleaning up around parking lot area. It makes things look nice.... but (See con side below)

7)Next to a lot of stores, and major buss line 180 and 150 to Seattle.

Cons

1)Parking sucks, I work late and when I get home I have to park very far away from my unit. It's not that bad, and I'm not worried about someone mugging me, it's just a pain (you get use to it).

2)The cabana is nice, although they lock the cabana frequently because "hoodlums" vandalize it and other people can't use it. Which is weird, I don't usually see "Hoodlums" around Bye the Green. The cabana also closes at 9:00pm which is early to me, and I like to sit in the hot tub now and then...

3)The copper piping was just put into my condo this week, it makes the water smell weird and taste weird, but that should go away soon. There were a lot of complaints that the workers were breaking tenants furniture and making drywall dust go everywhere (we simply moved everything we didn't want to get damaged out of their way, and put plastic up. They did a very nice job, very quick.)

4)The gate is a funny thing. Yes, it is gated and locked. Sometimes you will see that the gate is open for three days at a time, and then goes shut again. If someone really wanted in they could just wait out on the road and when someone goes in, they pull up to the gate before it closes it re-opens to the next car... It's nice when you go in, but someone fishy could do the same.

5) Okay, Maintenance is pretty funny too. They'll start like at 5-6 in the morning right below your window blowing dust and leaves out of the parking lot... not only is this annoying, it gets dust all over your car! It sucks!

6)The condo association - huh... well the bad thing for the condo owners is that they make us pay dues every month for things that might go wrong so that it can get fixed... so when the piping started to be faulty, they pull on us this whole thing about having to pay 2,000! So they added $100 onto every month for about two years. It's nice to have new piping, but come on... that's lame. ALTHOUGH on the pro side - they paid the maintenance guy to come inside my condo and fix my flooring (they didn't have to do that, but they did!) That really surprised me, since they are kind of ... well... never mind.

7)I don't usually hear too much noise, besides there's a kid above us but he is pretty good. The north side of Bye the Green on the farthest east side is kind of iffy. I see cops there (not all the time). There are some wannabe gangsters... harmless.

Okay... so look at the pros and cons and decide for yourself. I would recommend it because it's a nice place, and they are condos so you will get your own landlord that can attend to you quicker than an apartment complex. There will always be downfalls to any location. My biggest thing I hate... is... let me think. I would say parking. That's it, and really that's not a big deal.

I LOVE THE RIVER!
