Don't rent here

The townhome, spacewise, is great. It's like your own home, rather than a dinky apartment. But that's where the good ends. Maintenance is a nightmare. When we first moved in, the dryer was missing parts, not hooked up, and clogged with lint. It took maintenance a week to get over here and take care of it. One of the phone jacks didn't work, another couple days, maintenance showed up, and put on a dsl filter and called it good, still doesn't work. The also left screws and the cover on the floor along with some torn wires. The dishwasher is old, outdated, and doesn't work. We were told we were getting a new one 1 month after we moved in; 4 months later we still have the same one. The screws on our front door stripped, I put a call in, was told someone would be here, they never called or showed. This morning I am sitting here with my door off the hinges, on the floor, and waiting for someone to show up. Nothing is done about the problem of loud neighbors and disrespectful children on our porch, throwing rocks around our cars, etc. The decks are rotting, entries are not lit; very easy to miss when driving home at night. There were also fleas imbedded in the carpet upon moving in and now my cats have them and we've had to spend a good deal of money getting that problem under control. All in all, I think a better maintenance staff, and a more concerned management could make this place worth it...
