Living at Mallard Pointe (from someone who knows)

Overall, I like living at Mallard Pointe. I have been here for over a year. I live on the 1st floor, which I prefer, because I like to be able to walk outside onto the grass and not have to worry about stairs. There are some downsides, however. The floors and walls are thin (the complex is around 14 years old) so you can hear your neighbors if they have music playing, are walking around, taking showers and going to the bathroom.
The maintenance staff does a good job for the most part. I do have two complaints. One, you have the option of not giving maintenance permission to enter if you are not home. Sometimes, this message does not get relayed and they come in anyway. Two, I have had the landscapers come onto my patio to clean it off with their blower after mowing only to blow my potted flowers to death. The office staff said that it was my fault they died because I didn't water them. She then said that she had the same thing happen with the landscapers until she moved to the second floor. So, was it me who killed them because I hadn't watered them in 1 day, or the landscapers''
The ammenities at Mallard Pointe are decent. The pools are nice, but the hot tub isn't cleaned very often-which makes me wonder about the pools. The tanning beds are alright, but they're old. Don't be fooled by the "Business Center with online access". The office uses Comcast, but the computer is so ancient that it takes about 5 minutes for a site to launch. It's just not a reliable center for business or leisure.
The complex isn't too large. I feel like I am home when I'm here; it's comfortable. Parking is no problem and the grounds are nice. I would recommend living here.
