I was a resident at 12 Central Square for 4.5 years, and loved every minute of it. I wouldn't have moved out, but I had to relocate to California as my line of business changed. I worked at a large software company in Redmond, but spent most of my time outside of that performing and recording as a musician in Seattle, so the location of my apartment was very convenient for me. The management and staff were incredibly vigilante and always kept the property looking beautiful. Starla puts a lot of personal pride into keeping 12 Central in top form. She, Kathy, Steve, and Liz created quite a uniquely close community experience there by setting up BBQs and other events which allowed tenants and staff to mingle and get to know one another. Even outside of those times, they'd always introduce us (residents) to one another in the office if we hadn't already met. That's quite a feat for a complex of this size - they put forth energy to understand us and our needs. I miss living at 12 Central Square, and if I ever decide to explore living in Bellevue again, I'll most certainly look there first.
