This apartment is pretty nice, pretty good location, some of the staff is friendly and helpful, they have good amenities, pretty good view if you are high up. BUT after a few months, we discovered that we are getting ripped off with the insane water bills. My husband and I live in the small apartment and it is $125 for water and sewer. The only time we've ever had a high water bill was when we were living in Texas and watering our 4,000sq ft house's front and back lawn. All we are doing here at 989 elements is taking a shower once a day (sometimes no showers), wash dishes, and laundry. We do laundry once every two weeks and dishes once every other day because we are lazy so I know we are not using that much water. The worse part is that after our first bill, we decided to not use hot water as much (wash dishes, face, hands with cold water), but our hot water bill was higher.....HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE. So we talked with the Manager and basically they told us that there is nothing that they or we can do because the water bill is shared between certain tenants. They told us that the older tenants get their hot water bill portion paid by 989elements, and the newer tenants are paying for the hot water bill. Well, the newer tenants are probably paying for the older tenants' hot water...that is why it is so freakin' high. DON'T MOVE IN HERE! WE WANT TO MOVE OUT, BUT WE SIGNED A YEAR LEASE AND WOULD HAVE TO BREAK THE LEASE FOR $3K. TRUST ME, I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT IT. Worse part is that the Sales person, Jennifer, had told us that the bill is probably $40-$50 when had asked her about the bill when we were considering moving in. BIG FAT LIAR! The concierge, Bill, is nice though.
