This was the worst experience ever. Don't expect the management to give you the minimum info required (like last date of rent payment etc). You better read the whole lease agreement.
I moved into the apartment with a sub lease.
I was expecting 3rd to be the last date for rent payment cos it was mostly 3rd unless the apartment management tells you otherwise. So I went and payed them the rent on 3rd morning. By 3rd evening I got a notice saying "Late fee or vacation notice" which read "Since you did not pay the rent by 2nd midnight you are charged $75 late fee. If not payed at the earliest please vacate the apartment"(These may not be the exact words, but it was on similar lines) I was shocked to see that notice. Never did I read any notice put in such words. I went to their office the next day and asked them the reason for not informing me that 2nd was the last data for rent when I moved in, and their answer was....."Since you moved in with a sublease your previous tenant is supposed to inform you that." I ended up paying extra $75 for that month.
Moving out Exp: I was expecting the management to take care of any of the payments that the previous tenant is supposed to pay. I stayed there for three months and payed my utilities for all the three months. After three months when I was moving out they charged me for another extra 2months of utilities. I was shocked to see that and when I asked the management what it was, they informed me that those were the bills for the first two months(for my previous tenant).
Q: "Why am I supposed to pay that'''''"
Ans: "Cos you sub leased the apartment, its something you should discuss with uour previous tenant"
Q: "Why dint you guys inform me'''''"
Ans: "Its written in the lease agreement which you signed"
Finally I ended up paying $130 more.
Maintenance: Worst maintenance ever. I had 4 complaints for which I had to visit their office three times and call the couple of times, and even after that I managed to get 3 of the problems fixed that too after 1month.
Even the essentials things like heater problems are not taken care of immediately. I had to live in the apartment without a temperature regulator for 15days before they fixed it.
The vent fan in the bathroom was making hell a lot of noise and when i reported that to them they said they had to replace the fan completely as it was rusty, but it remained the same until I moved out.
Cleaning while moving out: Though we cleaned the apartment to the max possible extent, they charged us for weird reasons and we got a refund of $25. They even charged us for painting the walls which is because of ageing of the apartment. I dont know how the tenants are responsible for that.

Share your pain Pal. This apartment management r notorious and cruel. Infact i went through all of the things that r posted here... Paid 75$ late fee, Paid some hefty 400$ inspite of cleaning the apartment for 2 full days. I wish i had money and time to sue their asses off.
One of the crudest and cruel management that i ever came across. Good job Adagio managements....
