I've been living in this apartment complex for a year now. Overall it is really a great place to live. The location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Bellevue Galleria and mall. The highway (I-405) is very close, making it convenient for commuters, but not too close - I never hear any noise coming from the highway.

The apartments are spacious and well maintained. The kitchens looks very nice - black and cherry wood are the dominant colors, which is a pleasant change from the cliche white kitchens. Also, Avalon offers accent walls at reasonable price (I heard they often give 1 free accent wall to new tenants as a move-in bonus).

I've never had any problem with the management. I really don't know why there are so many negative comments here aimed at the management. They have always been friendly to me. I can't speak about the quality of their maintainance staff is - because nothing in my apartment has ever broken down - which is always a good sign, right'

Parking is never a problem. There is plenty of it. In fact, they don't even bother to assign parking because there is ALWAYS available parking. If you have guests come over frequently, they never need to worry about finding parking. Not only is there space in the garage, but there's plenty of parking left on 11th and 110th St after dark.

I definitely recommend this place over any other apartment complex in this area. Avalon has bigger and nicer apartments at a better price. Apartments in this area of Bellevue are never cheap - so don't expect Avalon to be cheap either, but at least you'll get a nicer apartment here than most nearby places.
