They have decent apartments, but it is a pain getting anything done with them. For anything and even rent payment - you have to call their 'Customer Care Center' in Virginia - the local staff is powerless.
We just moved out, and they charged us $1500 (!) in move out charges - most of it coming from carpet stains (resulting from the snow week) that was only localized to one place. However, instead of replacing the one place - they decided to replace the entire carpet and charge it to me.

Now, to resolve this issue - I have to talk to the "Customer Care Center" - who have no idea about "Customer Care" - and just keep telling me that they'll send my file to a collections agency if I don't pay. Absolutely ridiculous greedy management - please don't rent if you can possibly avoid it..
