I saw an ad for this apartment which was posted last night on Craigslist. So, I landed to take a look early today (around 10:30). I called Alan on his cell phone and asked about the apartment and he said that he would be there in a moment to show me the apartment (he was in his car a few hundred feet away).
He got there in a minute and then he asked "so, are you looking for a 1 bedroom or a 2 bedroom'" to which I said "either will do". And then he says, "The problem is that we dont have any!".
Well, he had just a minute ago mentioned that he would show me the apartment! Did he not like the way my wife and I looked' Why did he ask what sort of apartments we wanted' Is it so that if we asked for a 1 br, he could say that he had only 2 br apartments available (or vice versa)'

That doesn't make any sense. How is it to his benefit to waste both his and your time like that?
