Good, pleasant apartments - good value

For the last two years, Belmont Place has been a pleasant home for me and my wife. The community here is pretty quiet although the sound insulation between upper and lower apartments is sometimes not enough. I wouldn't consider it anything that shouldn't be expected in apartments of similar construction.

The units are generally well maintained, and although they were built a while ago, the management has done a good job in keeping the look basic and neat. Yes, as others have mentioned, the appliances may be older but they all work well. I'm not sure if people expect total remodels, but that seems unreasonable if the appliances work fine - my washer is especially nice.

Management has been helpful and nice. If you need help, it gets done fairly quickly. I prefer not to bother them about minor issues, so unless something is broken, I don't bother. I do think it's better to approach the management in person (in the office) rather than call. Seems like they prefer working this way.

One weird thing that I've noticed is that most of the electric outlets seem to be loose, as if past residents have all shoved plugs in the wrong way, expanding all of them. Only mildly annoying at first.

Price is reasonable overall, but they have been increasing as more people have been renting rather than buying of late (Generally no vacancy). Although the increases have been significant (about 12%/yr), it seems like they are still a good value. Apartments are cleaned when tenants change, also repainted, and older fixtures are replaced.

Road noise is pretty loud if you have an apartment near 140th NE. However, if you're on the inside of the complex, it's very quiet. One car garages are available for rent and are nice to place storage in. Each unit gets an outside closet for storage, however recently someone broke all the padlocks looking for stuff to steal. Hardly anyone uses these closets however since they can only store stuff that are hardy in inclement weather. Generally the area seems very safe and the area has stores nearby.

Overall good basic apartments that are clean, well maintained and a decent value. I'd love to have a dog, but I can understand the restriction due to the noise insulation not being the greatest. Recommended. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
