We've been here for almost four years. Cedar Terrace USED to be a very nice place to live, until the management switched earlier this year. The new management is on a long property-improvement kick, and construction noise starts at 8 am sharp. They have a new order to the residents EVERY week. "Don't park in your paid spot" one week; "clear off your deck" for pressure washing the next; "we're inspecting all apts. secure your pets in your apt," yet the next week; "close all your windows for pesticiding" and etc. All with a "We're not liable for damage if you don't" message (yeah right).

The resident who posted this comment is 100% correct. their wasting money on exterior stuff. Insulation is the one that their missing, YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING. I've heard my upstairs neighbors use the bathroon. AHHHHHH

Wow, I agree with all said here. Another note on the construction is they are like "we will paint your building on such and such date so please move your car from your spot" then, they have only painted half the building on that date and our building is half colors right now. I assume when they decide they will finish the job, we will have to lose our parking spot again. And what was with the paving of the parking lots? You couldn't have done it in smaller chunks to not create the parking fiasco that happened? I agree that insulation would be a better purchase for this apartment complex. The noise factor is huge.

the new management is awful. they are rude and it takes FOREVER to get anything fixed by the maintenance staff. painting has now been postponed until spring, so our buildings are assorted colors for the time being. it's very embarassing to have anyone come visit. and as far as the insulation goes -- i can hear my neighbors use the bathroom as well. i will be moving as soon as my lease is up (which isn't soon enough).

No wonder. I was reading the "Changes" post, and I can see why you're having so much trouble. ESSEX Management is horrible. I used to live at some other apartments they owned and it was horrible. They are comletely unprofessional. That's a bummer, I was somewhat interested in these apartments too.

Wow.. you are SOOO correct about this.. the person in the office right now just told me that she couldnt help me with anything and that signing a lease and getting renters insurance was "my problem". WTF???
