I always thought that only negative comments would be posted here and I never really considered them as too serious. But all the recent comments I read are 100% accurate. I moved here 1 year ago. By that time the rating was more than 70% and it was one of the top 10 properties in Bellevue. But now, not surprisingly it dropped dramatically. I moved out couple of weeks ago, as soon as my lease was over (THANK GOD!). First of all I didn't feel safe at all. They broke into out post boxes 3 times in 1 year period. Management did nothing except for putting apology notes to our doors. First I thought that it was not a big deal that the washer are dryer were in the balcony but when the temparature dropped to 20 degrees, it was painful. The appliances are very old (I don't know the ones in remodelled apartments but I dont think it matters as long as you still have to wash clothes outside). The last but not the least is the neighbours. First of all unless you are at the top floor, you will hear your neighbours every move in his/her apartment. Now he is cooking, now he is walking towards balcony, now he is shaving :P... I mean everything. Walls are paperthin. And considering that average age is 19 in the community, a lot of sleepless nights are waiting for you due to your loud and partying neighbours. It is shocking how the quality of community residents dropped in such a short time. I saw a couple of people that were being showed the apartments last time i was there to drop my keys and I hardly kept silent not to warn them!

To not feel safe here, you must have been very sheltered as a child. I have lived here for almost 3 years now and have never had one single problem. There was a break-in in the mailbox room but to my knowledge there was only 1 break-in, not 3. It sucks that it happened but that can happen at any complex, it happened at my friends complex in Kirkland. As far as the washer and dryer being on the balcony it is a little odd but it???s not that big of a deal. The way I look at it is at least I don???t have my upstairs neighbors dryer shaking over my head. You said it was ???painful??? when it was cold out to do your laundry, how long does it take you to throw clothes in the washer, pour the soap in and pull the knob? As far as the noise goes, it totally depends on your neighbors. This is an older complex so the walls are thin and you can follow your upstairs neighbor walking around but again this depends on the neighbor. I had one upstairs neighbor and I never even knew he was home unless he was watching tv or going to bed. I would hear a light murmur of his TV now and then and if I was already in bed I could hear him walking around his room getting ready to go to sleep. Other than that, I never heard the guy and he was at least 6ft 3 and about 260 lbs. Now, I have a gal who is about 5ft 6 and about 130 lbs and I hear her going everywhere. It sounds like she is running down the hallways, slamming cupboard doors, walking all around her bedroom at night. I refer to her as Ms. Track & Field because I swear she has an obstacle course set up in her apartment and runs it at least 6 times a night to try and get her best time. It???s very common that she will keep me up until midnight, a few times she has kept me up until 2:30am which is really fun when I have to get up at 6:30am. So, the noise level will depend on your neighbor. I never hear the people living in front of me that I have common walls with, there are 3 of them living in there and they are all in their early 20???s. The average age is not 19, I would say it???s more around 25 or so. Again, the sleepless nights are going to boil down to your neighbors. My lease was getting ready to expire and I was looking at a rent increase. So, I started shopping around. It didn???t take long to realize that there wasn???t anything available in the area that was comparable, even at the new rate. I even started looking at places without washer???s and dryer???s in the unit and the only ones that I found available were pretty nasty. For what ever reason the market has really gotten tight on rentals. So, after knowing that and seeing what other complex???s were charging I decided to stay where I was at. The only reason I even started looking was because of the increase, I???ve been very happy with my apartment and the staff; not necessarily my upstairs neighbor but things could always be worse. |
