Apathetic Managers & Maintenance Staff

Cedar Terrace is great if you're looking for close proximity to the Park & Ride, Bellevue Square, Crossroads and other shopping facilities. Its a short drive into the city and a great place if you commute north along 405.

This is a pet friendly complex with MANY large dogs. Although there are two pet areas for owners to walk their pet, the maintenance staff have not emptied the pet refuse containers in months and are now overflowing with plastic-bagged pet poo. Many of the pet owners have given up picking up after their pets and its difficult to walk the paths without stepping in something.

Maintenance staff are few and far between, and do not follow up on work orders in a timely manner (the main guy lives in Lake Stevens, an hour away).

During the summer, the pool was out for over two weeks when the Health Department shut it down. They weren't able to determine when they'd be able to open it again.

During the snow, they are reticent to have the drives sanded and plowed. We were stuck in the lower parking lot for five days before the drive was sanded and we could move our cars out. I called maintenance when two cars and a moving truck had gotten stuck in the snow, blocking the road out for all residents, and was told it was not an emergency and that "corporate office wouldn't approve their overtime." Due to their negligence, I missed 3 days of work until the cars were removed.

Parking is difficult during the best conditions unless you pay for a covered parking spot, and even then many residents and their guests disregard the reserved parking rules.

Utility prices are high, electricity will run you $150/month in the winter and sewer/water/garbage stays even at $100 per month.

The office staff are sweet in person and on the phone, but be sure to get everything in writing before you leave as they often get "busy" and forget the things you've asked for.

Overall, we've had a neutral experience at Cedar Terrace but will be moving when our lease ends.
