I don't know where to begin. I know I'm going to leave some stuff out, that's how crappy this place is. I strongly suspect management wrote some of the positive reviews here. Nobody can say that this place is "Great". Management is at best two faced. They say one thing to you, but something else to other tenants. I don't understand all the hoopla about the grounds here. The front office has some flowers, the rest of the place has dying trees, dog crap everywhere, and mosquitos in the summer (from Mercer Slough). I was there an incredible 4 years, and every summer the grass was allowed to die. Even though the rent is incredibly high, management doesn't pay to water the lawn. The place has underground sprinklers. From June to about September, the ground is brown.

The floors creak, the paint peels, my deck was never painted, even though I asked about 4 times. The bare wood showed. The place is so dark at night you have to carry a flash light. The pool is a joke. The kids take over and adults can forget about using it. The chlorine is so high you can smell it from a block away. Nevertheless the pool is cloudy. I wouldn't go in there with a ten foot pole. The work out room is a joke. The machines usually don't work right. The place isn't air conditioned. The tanning bed room is like an oven, even with the ancient air conditioner in the window. Parking is a joke. Noise is a real problem. I could hear my neighbors easily, and cars speed through the parking lots and screech their brakes at all hours. I had my carpet professionally cleaned and painted several walls. I hired a cleaning company (Merry Maids) to clean the place before I left. I got back less than half my deposit. It's a scam. I would have taken them to small claims, but I moved out of state. The new Manager is a well....not nice, let's leave it at that.

All in all, Emerald Ridge will go down as one of the worst places I have lived in all my adult life.
