Not So Great Property

I am admittedly confused and surprised by the review below mine. Do we live in the same apartment complex' I am literally shocked anyone would say this is a wonderful property that is well worth over $1000 per month for less than 1000 sq feet...a place that if you have company on the weekends or evenings after 6pm they will have to park on 118th Ave because parking is simply non-existent.
I resent the implication that I am some kind of trouble maker because I choose to say what I think about the place I call home.
Has your car been burglarized since living at Emerald Ridge' My car has been broken into once. They only took a portable auto battery charger, but it cost $375 to replace the passenger side window and I have a $500 deductible. When I went down to the management office to notify them and suggest they increase security....they didn't ask me any questions, where' when' did you file a police report' "Ok, thanks" is all I got. My downstairs neighbor had her car literally stolen from the parking lot in Emerald Ridge. She got it back a few days later, but the car had been stripped.
My friend lives at The Firs near Factoria. He pays $925 for a two bed two bath. They have a full professional gym. Emerald Ridge doesn't even have a universal weight system. My friend's apartment has a HDTV with surround sound. We have a TV in the upstairs lobby which kids use primarily to watch the Cartoon Network.
Oh yeah, I'm a problem child. I'm the complainer. But you know...if it wasn't for those of us who do take a stand and complain when things need fixing or noise and parties get out of hand....if we weren't around to do YOUR bitching, then you wouldn't be able to live in such a Garden of Eden.
I won't be renewing my lease. Most people I know here do not want to renew their lease and literally feel trapped here. If people stay year after year, it's not because they love Emerald Ridge, it's just that they are trapped in a hopeless and sad situation. Instead of ridiculing them, have some damn compassion. Families can't always afford the luxury of moving out even though they hate Emerald Ridge so much. First and last months rent, utilities, moving vans, etc., They stay and we all feel for them, except one person who just loves living here.
You don't want to buy a home' Ever heard of equity' Stay at Emerald Ridge. Love it for years and years. Never move. I say this 'cuz I'm getting the hell out of here as soon as possible and I like to be surrounded by neighbors who actually care about where they live and don't belittle neighbors who voice dissatisfaction with their poor living conditions.
