I have been here for over 2 years. I have been here for so long only because I could not afford to move out and into a new place. Deposits, first and last and all the $$$ you need to basically move into a new place. I finally have enough to get out. I am not happy here. When I first moved in it didn't seem bad at all. After being here for so long, I just can't take it anymore.
I am not a complainer and usually stay to myself and don't get involved in calling management all the time over little things etc..I understand we live in an apartment building and we all make noise and I can't expect things to be perfect etc.. I have been living in apartments all my life.. so I am use to this.. But this is just insane!
Problems...
NOISE:
Noise is just ridiculous. You can hear everything that your neighbors are doing above you. The lady above me has a bunch of dogs! Big ones! Each dog she has weighs more than I do. They run around upstairs all night long and my windows vibrate and it seriously feels like an earthquake. I have not had a good night sleep in months! I almost rather sleep in the back seat of my car :P This goes on all day and night. As I am typing this, I can here her 150 lbs dogs running around all over the place and remember there are more than one of them that size! I have already gone upstairs to tell her to have respect for people living below her...
Parking:
Does not exist. You only get one spot. If you have any type of visitors coming over more than likely they will have to park on the street, unless they come over in the early morning or early afternoon on a weekday. After 5pm forget it.
Grounds:
I am so tired of stepping on dog ----. I feel like I am the only person that picks up after my dog. I am sure those of you that do pick up after your dogs feel the same way I do. How can a person leave dog crap on the walkway' I don't get it. It's nasty.
Apartment:
Is old and things seem to fall apart easily. I have plaster coming off due to the neighbor upstairs with the Animal Kingdom she has goin on up there. There is some leak that is causing water damage on the carpet. I have called about this. Maintenance did come right away. They vacuumed the area said it was fixed..and now it's back again. There are parts of the rug that wear out on it's own. The way it is put in is just plain retarded. The things falling apart are not my doing. I walk in my apartment with no shoes, I'm very clean etc...My boyfriend who is foreman can't believe how bad the apartment is..so many things need to be fixed. He is soo happy Im moving, he hates coming over here.
Can you believe they want to raise my rent too! I can move into another place, nicer, bigger and includes utilities for the same price! This place pays for no utilities at all. I can go on and on.. but I'm tired...
One more thing...Before you move in look a little more. I can almost guarantee you will find something bigger for the same price or just a little bit more per month...and I will guarantee you that it will be better than staying here.
The only thing Im worried about now is not getting my deposit back when I move out. We shall see...

God Bless You! It's like I wrote this review myself! Good luck getting your deposit back. I'm in poor health and couldn't do any of the moving or cleaning. I hired a cleaning company and they spent the day cleaning. It cost $189, plus I gave them a $25 tip. Guess what, when I was ready to be checked out by the Manager she wrote on my check out sheet "FILTHY KITCHEN". Now, I'm pretty bright. I can tell when people CLEAN something, and they did a great job. I was charge $165 by Emerald Ridge to clean the kitchen...oh, it doesn't stop there. Get this, I'm still trying to believe it, they charge me $180 TO CLEAN THE WATER HEATER. Geez, how dirty can a water cleaner be? Can't I just get a new one for around $250? Oh yes, they charged me $180 to replace the bath tub enclosure. Seems there was leakage causing mildrew and the wood to rot. Is upkeep the tenant's responsibility? Now I have a negative credit report because I refuse to pay this ridiculous and fabricated charges. GOOD FOR YOU! YOU ESCAPED! |
