Have dogs'
If you have dogs: big ones, crazy ones, pit bulls, Dobermans, whatever . . . this may be the place (the one and only place) for you.
Like many of the people, I do have some issues: parking is a pain and it can be loud. But, it is dog central here. I have a lot of empathy for that barking dog, there are literally hundreds here. We all do our best (or at least we should be) and that is to be expected.
People should be courteous of one another and pick up after their pets. It is not managements (who have always been kind to us) responsibility to chase tenets around to make sure they pick up after their pets. That is just common sense.
For what it is worth, this isn't the most beautiful place in the world, but I can have my dog here. I feel comfortable here and know that my dog is welcome and people will have empathy about dog ownership. It will due while we save money to buy a home.
On the plus size, when we moved here we ended up paying $400 less in rent each month and gained 200 square feet (we used to live down town Bellevue). I miss my crown molding and my slab granite counters, but I love my dog more.
When we moved in, we knew it wasnt our normal standard, but it is a choice we made. We adopted a pit bull mix from the local humane society and knew we would limit our choices on housing. I feel we made the responsible decision and can only represent ourselves.
People often have their pets off leashes and dont pick up after them, that is hardly the fault of Emerald Ridge. Just remember, take care of your pet and remind others to do the same as nicely as possible. Dogs and apartment living are a challenge in any apartment.
I would never recommend this place to a non pet owner, there is no reason to be here if you aren't. But if you have a dog (especially one that may face breed restrictions, this is probably your best bet).
It is sub par in looks and it is cramped with poor parking; but if you love Fido, welcome home.
