It's all good - until the day you move out.

Now, I've always thought that the leasing office personels were nice. There are various things I did not like about the apartment, but they weren't enough to make me post a review here - until today.

I never caused any problems while I was living there. I never paid my rent late. No one else complained about me either. I was always courteous to the leasing office.

The day I moved out, I requested to get an elevator key so I can control it and make the moving out process much easier. Their response simply was - "sorry we don't give out elevator keys." I know it was a lie, because just 3 days ago a couple moved in next door to me, and at first I waited for 3 minutes wondering why the elevator wouldn't come, and later I bumped into the moving company guy and he "asked" me if I knew how to use the elevator key because he was having trouble with it. For them not to allow me to control the elevator 100%, it made my move-out absolutely a pain in the ass. Better yet, they double-booked 2 move-outs. I had to fight (well, not literally) to use the elevator with another family.

Then after I moved out, on top of them taking away 100% of my deposit, they sent me a bill of $300 for carpet cleaning and cleaning various places in the apartment where they claimed were dirty when I moved out. I actually hired a professinal carpet cleaning company to clean it for me. And I also asked my girlfriend to help me clean too. My girlfriend had rented at 5 apartments in the last few years, and she always cleaned on her own when she moved out, and twice she got 100% of her deposits back, while the other times she got more than 90% of deposits back. After she helped me clean, she was confident that I would at least get the majority of my deposit back. Now not only did they take away 100% of it, they sent me a bill which I know is unjustified.

It wasn't all bad experiene when I was living there, but I'm extremely angry at the way the leasing office treated me when/after I moved out.

These were the other things I did not like:

1) The parking spaces are extremely tiny on P1 (not sure about P2 or P3), and if you drive a nice car or you take good care of your car, don't bother looking at this apartment. You'll get plenty of door dings/scratches. The spaces are also limited, because many cars NEED to take up 2 spots at once when they park -- again, because the spaces are so tiny.

2) Hallways are dark and never very well lit.

3) Their so-called control access is a joke. During the day it's non existent. My girlfriend and my friends never had trouble whatsoever coming directly to my door while I was living there.

4) My girlfriend's bra and panties were stolen while we used the public washer/dryer on the 2nd floor.

5) My car got intentionally keyed while parking on P1. I know of another person that got his BMW keyed parking on P2.

6) They told me water and sewage would be about $3040/month. It ended up being nearly $70 the past few months. This is for a studio with only myself living there. Price is absolutely ridiculous.
