After moving in for a couple months, my car got towed all of a sudden!!!! All because the management at Excalibur claimed that they failed to see my parking permit, which has always been hanging in my car since the first Ive moved in. Upon moving in, I also filled out my vehicle information with the property with my personal contact information. So worst comes to the worst, give me call!!!! But NOTHING, I meant NO COMMUNICATION prior to I found out my car was gone a day after it departure because I was away for the weekend. In the end, I had to pay $250 to get my car back and even though the manager came along and saw the parking permit in my car at the towing place with her OWN EYES, she still tried to talk her way out of this unfortunate case and behaved as if shes the owner of the property and it was just too bad that she didnt have time to check out the owner of the car before towing it. I am taking this case to the court, but for you people want to come and live here, dont really bother, because you are going to be stabbed in the back sooner or later!!!!! Thank you for reading my story.

Although it??s an unfortunate incident that my car got towed in such a moronic manner, the Court has officially settled the matter, and I will be reimbursed for all the out-of-pocket expenses. I appreciate the website as a court-of-public opinion venue, and for the time everyone spent on reading my posting. There are no hard feelings from my side, sometimes bad things happen and the good thing is the Court could settle the dispute in such an efficient fashion! Overall, it's good to live here!

Now we can all appreciate a good rant and and the need to express ourselves when we feel like the world is out to get us. However, we've ever had any of our cars towed and having lived here for the past two years and having TWO parking passes, we understand that we need to ensure our parking passes are visible at all times. Let's clarify that even more. They need to be EASILY visble at all times. Yes, we've registered both our vehicles, but I'm sure that
the staff do not walk around with a laptop or 300 vehicle registrations in hand when they're doing spot checks on all three levels of the parking garage. Who'd want that job!!!

Let's look at an example. When we're in Seattle and we're paying for street parking. We all agree to the rules that we stick the little parking receipt to our window so that the
parking enforcer CAN EASILY see that we've paid. Why would it be any different where we live? Why do want to make life more difficult for those that work in the office to search for the parking tag. There are too many times when
friends let friends park their vehicles in the garage. Even if it's only for a few minutes that takes away from someone driving up and needing a spot at that moment because they've come HOME! And because some have abused that
parking privilege the office has had to come up with some rules to park by.

We all need to take responsibility when it comes to our possessions and our property. Lets not crap on where we live. There are two ways to get towed 1) not having a parking tag and 2) being double-parked.

I sure hope that you didn't have both of those things going on because that would've definitely warranted a tow.

I have lived in The Excalibur Apertments for 2 years..True,you need a parking sticker,IT NEEDS TO BE SEEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRONT WNDOW!!You can not have your friends park in the garage on a regular basis! There is plenty of parking outside for Company-you know all of that!
I do not bring my "paper work home with me on week-ends"-I am sure you do not either. Not once have I not found parking for my car in the garage.Your "note" is as I and many other see it as an emotional responce, writen in a moment of anger. There are almost 300 apt. here, you know that..Keep that parking permit so it can be seen. You will be just fine.

I'm shocked to hear that this happened. Teniele anguishes over any car that needs to be towed and in many cases has looked the other way giving a person more than ample time to change their ways. The Parking rules are clear. I've lived their for 1-1/2 years and never had parking problems from the management.

The thing this original poster fails to mention is that while she may have had a parking permit for the building, the car was parked in a STATE DISABLED PARKING STALL! Three notices were left before the car was towed. I'm disabled and live in the Excalibur apartments and LOVE the staff. I would actually rather be disabled than to be the kind of self important jerk that parks illegally in this kind of stall. That, perhaps, is the greatest handicap of all.
