We moved into the community about 4 months ago. Its a great place to live as far as location goes. Very close to a lot of things, especially MS campus.

Neighbors are great. In fact I have a sweet Indian family next door. No problems there. I get their curries once in a while. Most of the people I bump across seem to be decent. No rude ones as the management mentioned in one of the threads..

But as you have noticed in these comments, I have had most of it happen to me, light bulbs, leaky bathrooms, bad heaters etc.
Atleast 1 complaint a month, and its sometimes an urgent thing, like my water heater quit working, so no hot water. The management is right. 240 apartments, and everyone has atleast 1 emergency per month. Given the state of the apartments, doing the math, they have their hands more than full.

I guess that's the reason they didnt have time enough to clear pathways etc, where I almost slipped on the decaying leaves. Well, I have had the lights in my parking space gone for a week and then they came on. they get around to it, just not soon enough.

Then we had the owners decend on us out of the blue and use bright flash lights to take pictures, right in front of apartment windows for 2-3 days. No one bothered to inform the residents about the annoyance, no apologies. I guess, they expected no on to notice or complain as it was within the "time limit". I didnt bother to complain, as I knew what they would say.

Other than these annoyances, I guess its an OK place to live. If only the apartments themselves were a 100 years newer, I'd be happy.

But I still feel the people who sit in the office need to watch what they say to people and how they say it. They do tend to get defensive when you check on the status of your complaint.
I have 2 more months to go... maybe I'll extend, just so I can walk to Crossroads.
