Stay away from this place...

Very expensive for match-box sized apartments. Natural lighting is bad even for corner apartments. Maintenance requests take at least 2 weeks to be attended to. Emergency calls are not returned. The apartments are old and creaky. The dryer vent is badly designed - the smell from the apartment above you permeates your apartment - especially the cooking so you need to keep your exhaust fan running most of the time. Leasing office is often closed and they don't even care about potential customers. The garbage bins are overflowing most of the times.

The office charges $105.00 per month for water, sewer and garbage (for an apartment with 2 residents). There is no individual metering. Covered car parking at $25.00 per month. Consider these hidden charges before moving in. The mini sized washer and dryer in the unit are not adequate.

The lamps in the patio don't work most of the time and you can easily hurt yourself if you live in the second level, trying to climb up/down the stairs in the dark.

When you want a maintenance issue to be resolved, there is nobody in the office to whom you can report this issue. Or the office is closed. Phones calls are not attended to or returned.

This place is good if you are looking for a short-term stay and don't want to stay in a hotel room. Most stores and banks are nearby so you don't need a car to go around. Bus stops are also conviniently located on either side of the complex.

Stay away from this place if you are looking for a decent home for long term and you have a car.

I am just waiting for my lease to expire to get out of this place.

Your review is pretty accurate. The prices here are outragious and they advertise this place like its made of gold when it's a peice of junk. In addition, there prices are to high and at the price they are at they should include utilities, and to charge for a parking spot is ridiculous.. I hope they dont make the covered parking spot mandatory as my lease will expire shortly and I dont want the covered spot. The reality is since units aren't individually metered that they should be paying for utilities. Housing prices are going down in the area and if they keep going down these apartments will be hit big because they are way overpriced.

The utilities is an utter rip off!! It would go up exponentially every month even when we were conserving our usage of everything, it made no difference!!

One of the reasons the utility bill was going up every month is because ignorant and/or lazy renters were throwing garbage in the recycling bins all the time--or leaving garbage bags on the ground. The garbage workers track that stuff and bill extra for it. However, now that the recycling bins are gone, the bills should be going back down somewhat. I just can't believe that they didn't even try contacting tenants before removing the recycling bins altogether! You'd think they could have put up some posters around the garbage bins or sent out flyers to everybody telling them "don't throw garbage in the recycling bins unless you want to keep paying higher utility bills!" Communication is definitely not a strong suit of management here. It makes me sick that my choices now are: put recyclables in my car and haul them somewhere else, or forget recycling and throw everything in the garbage. Is my lease up yet?!

actually, the most of the increase is coming from water and sewer. The charge for trash is approximately the same and does not attribute much to the increased bill. The management should give residents an explanation for the bill. Regarding, not returning the calls... I found out that its washington tenant law to return the call within 24 hours. I am soon moving out so I am not going to do much about it, but you can.
