I did not live in these apartments, but that's not to say I didn't try. We were searching for an apartment in August of 2004 and came across Lakeridge. The townhouse set up was ideal for our situation and we were told that one was coming available at the end of November. Gary, the manager, insisted that if we gave him our deposit now, we would be guaranteed the townhouse. Within 2 days, a deposit was given and our application fees paid. We were all (3 of us total) approved with no issues.

Fast forward to the end of October. We were trying to get a confirmed move in date so that we could tell our current apartments that we were moving. Lo and behold, it all of a sudden turns out that the townhouse is no longer available. That's weird huh'

We were told we would be given back our deposit, but not our application fees. Me still having some faith that something happened beyond the apartment's control, called back a few days and asked if we could be put on a list to be called if another townhouse was opening up. At this time, Gary informed me that another would be available at the end of December (why didn't he mention this on the phone before' and furthermore... why didn't I receive a call in the first place telling me that the place we put a deposit down for wasn't available' I had to call him to ask several times...)

We decided that they would keep our deposit and we would pay the extra money at our current apartment to stay one more month past our lease.

Turns out, nothing was coming available at the end of December. We were stuck with a week and a half to find a new place to move into. Our lease on our current apartment had already expired and no one from Lakeridge called to tell us that the townhouse was not ever going to be available to us. After much complaining and being passed off from the the property owner back to the manager we only got our deposit back.

This was the worst experience of my life. Gary and the owners are incompetent. Gary couldn't even remember my name even after the 20 phone calls I had made to inquire about our status..

I advise you to stay away from this property at all costs.
