I've been here several years and this place has had a high staff and manager turnover. But they finally got a good team in here in the summer of 2004 and they have stayed. They have repainted the outside and the hallways. Almost all of the negative comments on for this place date from before the new team arrived. Lamplighter is across the street from a mall including grocery store and drugstore. You can walk to most of your shopping. The apartments aren't spectacular but they are well-taken care of for the most part (built around 1970); although they should replace the carpets more frequently. In some apartments they are very old/stained. There are no insects in these buildings. When I got here they were still repairing rather than replacing appliances and most apartments still had the originals that were about 30 yrs old. They are now gradually replacing them with new ones. Most city utilities are not included with the rent. It is a separate bill that you have to pay the management. Varies from month to month: typically about $50 a month. Gas and electric are combined into a single bill from the power company.
