I lived here, and there are good things and terrible things.

Good :)
- Location is good, right across from the mall, grocery, etc.
- Right size of the room
- Gas range and oven, rather than electric

BAD >:-(
- Noisy neighbors!! (This is the reason I moved out. They often had parties at midnight or watched movies super loudly until 2:30AM. I'm sick from being unable to sleep. And the management effectively didn't help.)
- Rent shot up in price from $850 to $1050. Utilities make it even more.

Additional comments: Full of I n d i a n s and the smell of their cooking. Would only recommend if location is critical.

Try to read more carefully. He/she didn't say anything was "wrong with I n d i a n s". He said the complex is "full of" them, and the smell of their cooking, which I can testify as being true. It's just a simple fact that most of the people in the buildings I've seen are I n d i a n. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it, and the original poster didn't say that.

Agree with the Good :) will add pretty good maintenance. Amanda, Ken and Dave do a decent job. about 80%. fantastic location. It???s a safe place to stay. Bad >:-( i'm an indian. have lived on the east coast and mid-west. frankly this place was a culture shock to me as well. it isn't the melting pot that america is known to be. way too many ------- at lamplighter. the crossroads area also seems to have a high concentration of immigrants. besides why can't ------- fit in with the rest? if other asians like japanese, eastern europeans, russians and people of other nationalities can change and co-exist - why can't -------. anywayz what are u doing in a country full of financial woes when ur home country grows at 8%. what's expected is very little in comparison with what ur getting. please air ur homes and corridors when u cook smelly stuff. cut the noise. if u can drive the US way why not respect their culture. Most westerners respect Indian culture when they travel. They make it a point to take off shoes before entering a home and try Indian food even if it gets them sick. so try not to contribute to the III world war. what's it with the children. i have nothing against the kids. doesn't WA have a policy that a child shouldn't stay in a 1 bed apt if the baby is older than one year. some policy like that exists on the east coast. a lot of the one bed apt.s have little children. indian parents haven't u ever heard of planned parenthood? children need space to play and do whatever they do. see them considerably contributing to the noise level. another interesting thing that's not in the good or bad listing. u'll find a lot of well educated young women often with master's degrees staying home. feel happy all ye americans when u spot them. they are keeping american jobs for americans. US immigration policies!!!
