I have to agree with the last person that posted-- I wouldn't recommend it, mostly because of the noise levels. I've been an apartment manager before so I'm not going to sit here and bash the staff-- they are trying to keep like 440 units under control and probably talk to so many people a day that they forget about piddly little things most people call about.

It would have helped if they didn't paint the apartments, ahem, baby **** brownish-yellow, but anyway...

Yeah, so it's the loudest place I've ever lived. I can hear my neighbor's *accents* through the walls while they are talking on the phone. I can smell my neighbor's cigarette smoke through my vents. The bathroom fan below me wakes me out of a dead sleep. The electricity and water are insanely expensive, and it proved to be nearly impossible when I attempted to get a garage space last month.

There is only one elliptical trainer for 440 appartments, which probably = about 1,000 people, so that's never free. Not that I would feel safe there at night.

Anyway, I was really disappointed. You would think in a neighborhood like Lakemont, and for what they charge for the apartments, that you would get much higher quality-- but they would have to tear the thing apart rebuild the whole thing for it to be any nicer (quieter).

I totally agree. When I complained about noise from upstairs (vaccum, music, stomping at 1 am) I was told that the tenant would get a letter asking to keep noise down. I don't think that has happened because it's been 2 weeks and is still going on. When I called the office to complain yet again, they "reminded" me that this is not my "house" and I have to learn to get along with my neighbors. WTF? Yes, this place looks amazing from outside. But when you have to put up with crap like this, it's just not worth it. My neighbor can fart and I'd be able to hear and smell it, that's how bad the walls are! I'm looking to move now, even if that mean breaking my contract. Yes, it is that bad that I will risk that.
