From the moment you sign the contract you're in for a ride. It's not imprisonment, except morally and ethically. They never fix problems, very greedy administration and you will never get to see or speak to the owners. If you plan to live there during any of the winter months, prepare to use your apartment as your new freezer. The heater works but the buildings are poorly insulated (even though they insulated them recently again, it was badly done), the doors and windows allow all the cold to come in and get stored, making the units colder than outside temperature... and yet, your heating bill remains at $200 /month. I moved out and started renting another place, but still had to pay the lease here till the contract ended, there is no way out! Be very careful, these people have no sense of human good will, they will not care about your problems. There are many places out there, no need to rent here although the maintenance is good, it's because whoever does it wants to keep their job, not because they love it. Please trust me, I am a very good tenant, and these people treated us as caged chickens when it came to attention.

This is a surprise to me! I've lived in this apartment for years and never had any problems with me heating bill being really high. Maybe you just are'nt used to living in the greater Northwest?

Hi there, I'm very much used to living in the northwest, and I actually grew up further north. However, more than anything it is the unpersonal style of living at Pinewood that doesn't seem right. Most people I met there were not very happy people in general, it seems like the type of place where you live in order to forget you have a life. And the fact that it's surrounded by trees is nothing special, all western Washington is densely surrounded by trees so that doesn't make Pinewood unique at all.
Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to do feedback on this.
