I picked this place when I moved to the region mainly because I liked the location. I read some bad reviews but I was thinking "How bad can it be'" How naive I was.

Staffs at this place are really really bad. Not the maintenance folks, though. Maintenance was always quick to the job and the technicians(') were always courteous. However, the staffs at the management office are all money-crazed and treat tenants as their moneybags. They were at least nice and polite until I moved in. They showed enough incompetence during the sign-up phase but I thought that was only because the person who was helping me was new to the facility. The lack of care permeates the whole office and it became much more obvious once I moved in. They didn't even provide any help when I was moving in. I asked them to reserve the elevator for a couple of hours and they didn't even bother to do so. In retrospect, I should have been more clever and moved out right then. When you move out, don't expect to get any deposit back or even expect to pay them a hefty move-out bill if you're unlucky. There was so-called "non-refundable administrative fee", which was explained to me as the carpet cleaning fee when I moved in. Now, they're charging me for carpet cleaning and all kinds of miniscule things and at ridiculous rates. Only reason I'm not calling my attorney is their bill is at about the same level with my attorney fee.

So, if you think you can live without ever talking to any of the management office people, this is a good place. Great location. But, be prepared to pay up when you move out. If you plan to have any kind of interactions with the management office, such as having a package delivered while you are gone, I'd seriously suggest to look for another place to live for your mental health.

I'm with you 100% on this one, you described my experience to the letter. While the maintenance was very helpful to me, the staff was not. I have not heard a better description of how the staff treats the residents than your "moneybags" remark. These people will do anything to get money from you, especially if you draw attention to yourself by asking for basic amenities. What a lousy bunch of people!
