My boyfriend and I moved here in 03/04. We read the reviews here before we moved in and were thrilled. I think, though, that we got a run of bad luck when we got here.

Living right next to the freeway is a little loud. We are about 40-50 feet away from it.

People like to drive in thumping their music very loudly and our neighbors like to have loud parties.

The place was dirty when we moved in.

One of the sinks was broken.

The appliances were really old and did not work well. They were at the end of their lives. We traded them in for newer ones, but the dryer is still crazy. It literally rips our clothes because buttons and things like that will be caught and it keeps on twisting.

The water heater died. I know that isn't the apartment's fault, but it was kind of bad luck.

The windows are a joke. They aren't double-paned, so they let out heat and the cold in. But on some of the windows in our apartment, they tried to put fake double paned windows in. This involves putting a flimsy glass window on the window sill and sealing it with caulking. And what I really don't get is that it is only on some windows, but not all.

Overall, I think the place might be okay for some people, but we have certainly had a tough time. The management was great in the way that they understood we weren't exactly happy here and worked with us for a mutual agreement on how to fix everything. It seems like a lot of people like it, but we haven't been impressed.
