I didn't know that amenities were part of the your apartment. I believe amenities are services provided, not required, by the property for the comfort and happiness of the residents. They have no legal reason to compensate you for it.

The apartment management charge for these amenities in your rent. I'm glad you're fine with paying for something and not getting it but no one else should have to.
