Great Compared to What's Out There

We thought we wanted to move out when Equity bought our complex and said they were turning it into condos. So we looked around for other renting options in the area. They were a little scary compared to Sterling Heights. Yeah, SH has cheap fixtures, questionable cupboard doors, a small mold problem, frustrating toilets, uncomfortable parking if you happen to get an apartment without a garage (SH is set on a hillside so parking is awkward), higher prices, and grey, sometimes depressing carpets, but you don't walk to your apartment scared, there aren't weird smells, the water is clean, neighbors are polite, management is really friendly, and maintenance is fast, though sometimes they need to re-visit. For the most part it's quiet and pleasant.
The only reasons we would want to move are for a larger apartment at a more reasonable price (currently we have a 1 bedroom at 870 a month) and stability (they will eventually force us out when someone wants to buy our apartment)
Overall, this was a good place to live. I'm sorry that they are turning this place into condos.
