We lived (2 bedroom 2 bath townhouse) there for 6 months of a 12 month lease. We had to go over management's head to the owners. It was an awful experience. They should just burn the buildings down and start over.

Of course apartment building will have maintenance issues. But in 6 months:

- It took them 4 months to respond to our request to have hot water in our upstairs bathroom sink.

- The downstairs toilet...um... didn't...remove all of the...um..."stuff" that it was supposed to when it was flushed. Their solution' "Just flush it twice".

- The master bedroom roof leaked. That was fun let me tell you....

-Overall, the plumbing in the place was awful. The water came out the faucets brown. Like, REALLY brown. They assured us that they had it tested (how long ago I don't know), and it was deemed safe. But they paid for one of those Britax faucet filters in the kitchen. Of course those filters are supposed to last about 4 months. Our only lasted 4 weeks, because the water was so bad.

And along with the buildings being bad, the management was just awful. Whenever we had a new maintenance complaint, it was as if they were personally offended that we had a problem. They were unbelieveably rude....actually no...The weekend girl was great. Very sweet. But unfortunately she had no authority to help us out.

OH! I almost forgot! The dumpster area is disgusting. There is one small dumpster for the entire complexe. About a day after it was emptied, it was overflowing again. So people are forced to just drop their garbage beside the dumpster. After a few days, the little fenced in area where the dumpster resides has a two-foot deep layer of garbage. So now you can't get to the recycling bins without wading though garbage. So you end up have to just toss your garbage and recycling into the pile.

And I'm only listing the MAJOR complaints we had. There was a ton of other little stuff. The leaking roof was the last straw. So we pitched a ----- and broke our lease without penalty. (We threatened legal action...well...hinted at it anyway).

So no....bad bad bad bad place. It looks like a good deal, (which is why we moved in), but in this case you DON'T get what you pay for.

Ahem. We had to buy a water filter for our sinks and even then the water still looks yellow. I'm terrified to think of what it's done to my insides. blech.
