My entire experience with Valencia Apartments was negative. From the beginning they promised me a fully remodeled unit with new cabinets and what I got was a shoddily remodeled unit with old cabinets that had been cheaply repainted. The dishwasher never worked properly and I had to hand wash all my dishes. The light bulbs burnt out constantly, and the circuit would blow anytime I tried to use a blow dryer in the bathroom. Within weeks the carpet started coming up at the ends and the paint started chipping off the cabinets. The tile in the bathroom started falling in and we called for maintence to fix it and they instead of properly fixing filled the hole with caulk and tried to stick the tile back on and left a big mess. This resulted in more tiles caving in and mold growing. The rent went up three times in a year in a half and was too much. They tried to charge for parking spots. The management was rude and demanding. I had loud neighbors that routinely stayed up till 3 am listening to loud music, and there were always people in the parking lots till very late at night. I did not feel safe there. And to top it off they are now currently trying to charge me almost $3000 to buy them new carpets and paint for the unit! I can't believe it! They also charge for any burnt out light bulbs, drip pans, smoke alarms, chipped paint of the cabinets (which is due to their crappy paint job)and a myriad of other ridiculous things... I feel very taken advantage of. I would never recommend living there.

I was a resident here of a year, and what this user posted is exactly true. I've never had such a bad experience living in apartments before. I was promise a nice apartment for the price I paid, but I have to admit, as time progressed, I started to question that. When I first moved in, I noticed that the paint job was horribly unfinished and there were several things that needed fixing. I was told that if I submit a work order, it will get done, but a year later, only one thing was fixed (minor part missing from sink which required just a screw). Also, two months into moving in, my toilet and a couple of my neighbors toilet flooded for no reason, ruining our bathroom items and carpet. Valencia came to the rescue alright by bringing in a fan to dry it.. we paid for the high electricity bill that month :( Yes, the neighbors ARE in fact loud, and I don't mean a little loud. You have people who play their music at 4 in the morning in the parking lot, and then occassionally you have obnoxious people who greet (or rather, harass you) in the parking lot (I don't think they live there though). The laundry room is not sufficient for the amount of people there (in addition to the old laundry machines that eat your coins, you have to pay twice for your clothes to finally dry, yay!). With those things adding up, I figure at least I would have my deposit to look forward to. Boy, was I wrong! Management charged me for those exact same things as the user before mentioned -- light bulbs that were already burnt out, drip pans (which by the way I replaced with new ones because when I moved in, the drip pans was disgusting), chipped/unfinished painting (in poor condition when I moved in), broken closet doors (which were broken before I got there, and it was even noted in my move-in slip!), as well as, other outrageous charges. I have to say, don't expect to get back much of your deposit. There is a $200 standard non-refundable (understandable), but you won't see much of your refundable $400 back (which they don't tell you), as $200 goes to administrative fees, $100 goes to carpet cleaning (which you have to pay for regardless), and the rest to cleaning and repair. Always in my experiences living in apartments (except for at Valencia), the $200 nonrefundable should cover the standard cleaning of the carpet and admin fees. The refundable deposit should have nothing to do with the basic move-in cleaning. In my experience, it is standard business to get about 40% of your refundable deposit back, but that's not the case at Valencia. We got about $20 back. I'm sure you can find a better place in Bellevue than this, for the price you are willing to pay. Good luck with apartment hunting!

This is true. Worst apartment living experience I've ever had. Don't live here.....you WILL regret it, get screwed over, and forced to put up with noisy, crude and disrespectful neighbors. (Apparently 6 noise complaints and 2 police calls aren't enough grounds to evict partying tenants).
