I lived at the Commons, in building A-2, for two years. When I moved in in 2004, I paid $588.60 for a one bedroom. Very acceptable. However, each time I renewed the lease, it went up and up while the hallways continued to reek of burnt curry, the elevator of urine and the stairway of vomit in the summertime. Sounds like a great place to live, eh' By the time I left in March, I was paying $780 (was going month to month so they tacked on a fee, of course). When the major rent increase came the last time I renewed the lease, I wrote a letter to the property manager to let them know of the vomit, urine, moldy window sills, cheap closet doors, patio furniture in the pool, loud immigrant children and their only excuse for raising the rent was to keep up with the market. After that came the 1970's exterior paint job and the announcement that they were sinking $1 million into the cabana. Who uses the cabana' How about putting that money towards windows that don't sweat and re-carpeting the vile hallway carpets.
They gave me $49.00 of my deposit back, which I'm challenging because not only are the charges unfair (touch-up paint'), but they were quite late in notifying me of such charges. Landlords in Washington State have 14 days to notify a tenant of their deposit return or lack thereof. After 14 days, regardless of repairs, the tenant legally is entitled to their entire deposit.
In short...move to the Commons' No way. So not worth it.

I can see by your lack of grammar that you must be a resident at The Commons. Loud children made up about 1/8 of the problems with that place. Try reading the whole post.
