Dirty, stinky, & noisy

Living here has been an absolute nightmare. I dread coming home to this place after work. The rent is cheap for Bellevue, although it continues to rise with each lease renewal. Its not worth it - if you can, pay a little extra and get a decent place to live. I've lived here a little over a year and I cannot wait to leave.
I live in one of the three-story buildings that has a central hallway from which you enter your apartment. While being on the top floor has improved the noise level - it is stiflingly hot in here - absolutely no air circulation in this apartment since the living room windows do not open. Mold in the winter - whoever thought tiled showers was a good idea was an idiot. Impossible to keep mildew-free. Bathroom ceiling fan doesn't do anything to control the moisture build-up.
Stairwells are not maintained. Plaster falling off the walls, hand banister has been detached from the wall and laying in the way for over a month. Vomit and beer cans and cigarette butts on stairs. If you have guests over, be prepared to be embarrassed of where you live. Elevator sounds like it is going to plummet to the ground - and stinks of urine.
This place stinks in general. People smoke in the hallway. A constant smell of curry, Mexican food and incense.
Loud as hell - it is never quiet. Children screaming in foreign languages - vandalizing the grounds - throwing glass bottles in the roadway - graffiti in the elevator - Mexican music blasting from cars - people using their parked cars as home stereos - and those who don't have cars steal shopping carts from the surrounding shopping centers and leave them in the hallways. - Completely inconsiderate as far as noise level in the apartment - kids playing soccer in the parking lot hitting cars with their ball without remorse & not yielding to traffic. Instead of taking their kids outside to play they let them run up and down the halls like animals to tire them out - it shakes your entire apartment- absolutely no balcony etiquette.
Woodland & Foothill commons is truly the Ghetto of Bellevue. That's the only way to describe it. Don't be deceived when they show you the demo apartment - it is nothing like the one you actually end up living in. And once you are in you are stuck unless you want to pay $1500 to break your lease - absolutely ridiculous!!
