Can't wait to leave!!

I've lived in Gateway Apartments for two years now! There are plenty of issues all because Apex Property Management does not have an on site manager! All issues can be called in, but are never taken care of. The parking lot does not have enough parking for the tenants, or visitors. It's primarily college, and respectable people living here, but there's no room for family to come visit, Should they park in the park-n-ride and then walk, or learn the bus system on their visit up' I don't think so. Your parking spot gets taken all the time, especially if you have a good one, and there is no one that will ever help get your spot open. If there are no other spots open, there is no one to contact. You have to find a place maybe at haggen or far away, then walk. Or block someone in. Tow companies won't come to tow someone elses car, and the funny thing is, it takes them 2-4 hours to arrive if they arrive at all. Maintenance. I've sent in maintenance requests, emails, and phone calls. They partially fixed the problem, but now the problem continues, and they don't contact us at all. There are lots of other problems with the apartment that I requested be fixed when I moved in and they never contacted me. Ridiculous, horrible service. The pet policy is based on whether they like you or not. Some people have been allowed to have pets, others aren't. They have a set policy of no pets, but they have given others special privelages, how does that work' These are new apartments, but they are already starting to fall apart. During winter there are always shingles on the ground, and it takes Apex a good month to realize this and repair it. Even when they do repair it, the next week there are more shingles on the ground. ANTS.. Lots of them. Maybe it's because of the college atmosphere' Who knows. I believe they live in the walls. I keep my apartment clean, but I continuously find ants coming from nooks and crannies in the corners of my walls... So, I've been dealing with ants both springs, and summers, and one fall... Definitely not the best thing to deal with. I really would not suggest moving in here, there is no "customer service" at all. They have gone through secretaries, like a middle schooler and pixie sticks, there is no constant staff and they are VERY unreliable. Oh yeah, noise. I have to have fans, going to block as much noise as possible so I don't have to deal with some of the parties. I think the walls are pretty thin. But even when people are having parties there is no manager to contact. You can call apex property management, but no one answers. You can call the police, but a small (noisy) college party is a lower priority than other crimes, especially on the weekends. If you enjoy your sleep, and can't stand the noise of 3 fans (to cover up as much of the party noise, howling, yelling, and music) then I would suggest looking elsewhere. :)
