This apartment is bad. Bad! Their treatment was horrible.
I moved in December of 07. The apartment itself was good, although ugly. I liked it a lot at first - and I always liked the surroundings. It was peaceful and there was rarely anything that bugged me. My car was never broken into, nor my apartment. Rents were decent.
However, their pet deposit was outragous. $1000 for a dog. Luckily, they allow you to make payments on it or I never would have been able to do it! Also, the lease is month to month which is nice.
Repairs took a while.
I lived here for 9 months. A few months in, I got sick. So my mom and sister came over daily to help me - and then I got a note on the door, saying that I needed to register their tenancy. When I nicely explained to the office that they didn't live there, the office told me that they had reports that stated otherwise and that they would have to apply to live with me.
It irritated me, but okay. They applied, even though they had an apartment of their own. It took almost 2 weeks to get a response - and then they were turned out due to references. Apparently, they couldn't get rid of 1 apartment complex that my sister lived in - and they very literally, on the phone, told us that we were liars and would never be approved. I also received a 48 hour notice to vacate, later that week.
I fought it until they backed off. When I moved out, however, they charged me over $2000 in cleaning charges - which ate up all of my deposit and dog deposit, and left me with an owing balance. When I tried to talk to them about the balance, they refused to help me.
Oh, and one more thing - we got in trouble for not cleaning up after our dog, when we ALWAYS pick up after him.
Their laundry room closed way too early, as in 6-7 pm. No amenities. Appliances were old.
One good thing: spacious apartments and no mold issues.
