An Overrated Apartment Complex

I lived in a 2 bedroom unit from October 2007-April 2008. The rent was reasonable, $710, I think it's around $725 now. Some of the office ladies are nice, some aren't. I found the manager to be extremely unfriendly. At the time they would allow small pets (birds, rodents, etc.) without a fee. Now a friend is living there and they want to charge him $150 to keep his chinchilla. They allow cats but they are terrible about removing dead mice from sidewalks and such. I only saw one small dog while living there. The units are cheaply put together. I could hear my downstairs neighbor COUGH when I was in my bed. There was a ton of water staining under the sinks and despite them saying that it is a "mold free" environment, all of my windows grew mold and some point. There were stains on the carpet when I moved in and the bathroom heater was broken and never fixed. If you look close enough you can detect the shabby installation of appliances and cabinetry. Upon moving out they didn't return my refundable deposit and charged me for something like 5 hours of carpet cleaning. Basically the grounds are nice and it's a decent place to live if you don't mind being able to hear your neighbors, don't want a dog, are willing to pay $150 for small pets and can deal with cold employees. If not, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This place is terribly overrated.
