Pretty good, service downturn since Aug '06

I've lived here for a while now and the on site management and maintenance staff are among the best I've experienced. In fact, the mgmt team ARE the groundskeepers and that has turned into a problem.

Last fall the owner decided he wanted significant remodeling and landscaping projects completed on the property. While he was correct in his judgement that the current management team could handle it, what he neglected was customer service. Meaning that since the staff was so busy completing tasks large enough for a professional crew, day to day repairs and tenant requests fell to the bottom of the pile. Appointments cancelled at the last minute and not rescheduled, and not enough repair persons to go around are the main issues. Essentially, the owner is overworking his team and ensuring they are unavailable for tenants.

All in all, the staff are very down to earth, helpful, caring, and definitely the biggest reason to live here. The property is phenomenally beautiful, and they built an indoor gameroom, but the service over the past year has nosedived.

I've lived in other complexes listed on this site in the last 4 years and they were all significantly worse yet had higher ratings. Maple Parks, I'm looking at *you*.

The rent is reasonable, parking is fairly abundant. There is also a pool, jacuzzi/spa, gym, game room, fully equipped rentable clubhouse, brand new play area for kids, and a garden area that is free for residents to plot and tend! The grounds are beautiful and make you forget about the ugly traffic, noise, and impersonal area of the Guide Meridian and Cordata areas.

Community is quiet and respectful for the most part - plus it's one of the few places in town that allow dogs! They do meet and greets of every potential pet on Spring Creek property as a focus on safety of all the residents. Note that there is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $250 per pet w/ a max of (2) allowed. The ceilings are thin - better carpet padding in the upstairs units might help absorb additional noise.

Last year I ran into a local technician on the property and he revealed that a few years ago Spring Creek was quite the dive with rather undesirable tenants. He said that it had really turned around and admired the new management for working so hard.
