Beautiful place, great management

I've lived at Spring Creek apartments for just over a year (since July 2007), and I have found it to be lovely despite its location next to the commercial madness on Meridian. It helps that it's on 35 or so acres of land and that the apartment buildings are no taller than two stories.
The management is one of the best things about the place. I had three or so major maintenance requests over the year. One was due to the bottom of the cupboard under the kitchen sink when I moved in being broken and moldy. They came in, cleaned it up, and had a new bottom put in it within a day. Another time I thought there might be a problem with my dryer because the hose in the back leading to the outside was terribly kinked up and wasn't venting properly. Again, within about a day, they had come in and installed a completely new dryer.
I mentioned the 35 acres of property--these include horse pastures (yes, not only do they allow dogs and cats, but you can board your horses here for a fee), a community garden and an apple orchard. It has a very natural feel to it. I never did try out the community garden myself, but in the fall when the apples are ripe the management allows tenants to go and pick them in the orchard at no cost. My fiance and I filled up a paper bag and made apple pies almost for free! In fact, they encourage tenants to take the apples, because if we don't they have to call in people to come haul them away.
Parking is great here. Each tenant has an assigned covered parking space (which is great since the seals on my car leak), and there are plenty of uncovered parking spaces for visitors. At least in the part of the complex where I live, I have literally never seen the parking lot more than two thirds full.
My main complaint is with the internet company that the place uses--used to be called Millennium, now Broadstripe. In the past year, my internet has stopped working about three times for a week at a time. I requested that money be taken off my bill for this, but they've never responded. Crappy company! I was told by the management that they'll be switching to Comcast some time soon, though, so this should be resolved.
It did get a bit cold in the winter, but then I was trying to use my heat as little as possible. Having a wood-burning fireplace right there in the apartment helped with that too.
Overall, I was very satisfied with this place. The only reason I'll be moving soon is because I am getting married in November, and my fiance and I want to find something bigger.

I was going to write a review, however I couldn't have said it better myself. Spring Creek is the place to live!
